About my teaching practice:

All students have different musical desires, varying levels of commitment, goals, experience and optimal learning styles. In the 40 years I've been teaching I've worked with students of all levels, learning a wide variety of styles. I have taught ages 7 to 77!  Over time, I've learned to tailor my teaching techniques to fit each individual student's goals, challenges and learning style; and I constantly evaluate whether the path I've chosen is the best one for each student. Many students go on to attend top music colleges and/or have professional drumming careers.

Besides California Jazz Conservatory I teach at California State University East Bay, U C Berkeley, Santa Rosa Junior College, Saint. Mary's College and Redwood High School.

I have previously taught at Berklee College of Music, Jazz Camp West, Stanford Summer Jazz, Lafayette Summer Music Workshop, Musically Minded Academy and numerous local high schools.

I teach most of my private lessons at The California Jazz Conservatory, 2087 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA

I book my students primarily through my schedulicity site. See button above.
